Arrive at the Stables for a warm welcome with coffee, tea, and scones.

Expert mycologist Bill O'Dea will present an introduction to the wonderful world of mushrooms. Learn about identifying edible and toxic mushrooms, their medicinal uses, nutritional value, and their role in biodiversity.
12:30 PM
Embark on a foraging adventure around the Ballyteige Lodge estate, applying your new knowledge in the field.
2:00 PM
Enjoy a light lunch and participate in a cooking session featuring the edible mushrooms found during the forage.
After lunch, Join a workshop to identify and classify the mushrooms collected, with a focus on edible varieties. Expect to discover over 50 different types of mushrooms.
Children interested in mushrooms are welcome to join for a reduced fee of €20 (for under 12s). Please inform us if you plan to bring children so we can accommodate everyone.
